August '09 Customer Spotlight

Our customer spotlight for the month of August is on Michael McCaughey and his 2002 Boxster S Turbo GTR.  He transformed his stock Boxster S into a supercar with the help of TPC Racing and Fiberwerks Aero.

His project consisted of:

Body by Fiberwerks

Mr. McCaughey ordered the complete GTR Aerokit from us which consists of the GTR front bumper with chin spoiler, GT3RS side rocker panels, Daytona II rear spoiler and Daytona II rear Bumper.  As you can see the car looks as amazing as it runs.

Our hats off to TPC Racng who did the complete installation of the aerokit in a days time without ever having had an opportunity to test fit it on the car first before it was painted!  The parts were received and painted by the body shop before they could be fitted, which is normally not the way to do it.  However, they reported that everything fit great and the installation was much easier than they had expected considering that aerokit installation is not what they do for a living.  In fact, the technician that did the installation had only installed OEM Porsche rocker panels before and reported that the Fiberwerks rocker panels fit easier than the factory ones did.

The finishing touch on the body was the addition of the "Turbo emblem" on the rear in place of the standard Boxster s emblem to announce that this car means business!
